![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The faster you're established and don't -need- to explore the easier of a time you'll have. Think about what day are you going to be mostly exploring and make sure to try to get a decent gun for it (always stop at the damage upgrade if you get it early and don't sink too much into guns first season, you will need to buy the bridges to explore N and S in season one hopefully). The latter is obviously just experience and practice but the former is pretty straightforward. I guess maybe focus your resources, if you find yourself dying in combat it's probably because you're either unprepared for that tier of area with your guns and upgrades/stats or you're being sloppy. cow milk, flower related upgrades (pH/soil meter, or anything that causes flower production that doesn't require you being hurt). Not having to waste money on guns is pretty key to me imo.Ĭertain upgrades will absolutely trivialise your run, I've found most success with passive income sources e.g. I personally find the second character best for a higher difficulty, only beaten by Thyme but I think you have to get to year five for her (she doubles the length of days). You can get by with the starting gun and some of the upgrades make it pretty good, e.g. I really don't farm much in the first season and focus on at a bare minimum clearing the first two areas (east and west) using the sunflower or berry foraging money to buy one bridge and do N or S area too. If you aren't getting max harvest bonus each season then you struggle hard to scale and will drop off hard. Honestly for me some of the best upgrades are the time traveller and historian ant (keep X from a previous run, upgrades and farm animals are great) and the one who gives stats (extra fighting and farming early on really helps tbh.Īlso one fully fertilised (50 fertiliser) sunflower in the first season will give you a max harvest bonus. With both you get four more per year which is pretty great early on with getting some of the cheap upgrades. I'm not the person you're replying to but I found something that helped me early was that the chemist ant (whose upgrades focus around mushrooms) offers two upgrades you'll want to nab as early as possible: bosses give cornucopias and get more cornucopias in the harvest festival. ![]()
